Climate shocks are reducing farmers’ productivity and putting their livelihoods at risk. In the MENA region, adapting to these challenges is especially difficult for livestock farmers, who often lack the tools and practices needed to improve livestock management. This not only harms pastoralists but also disrupts dependent value chains, such as dairy production.

Greener Herd has delivered training on sustainable livestock management and climate‑smart practices to 348 smallholder livestock farmers in Lebanon. Through strong word‑of‑mouth and community engagement, the venture organically expanded its reach to more than 1,200 farmers, many of whom have since been onboarded onto the Greener Herd app. To enable these results, the team collaborated with 18 local organizations, further improving community engagement and adoption of more resilient and sustainable livestock practices.
