It allows school-level users to record food deliveries, stock issues, attendance and meal consumption in real-time, showcasing how WFP can enhance accountability and the results of school feeding investments.

Developed by WFP alongside local offices and governments, School Connect streamlines data collection and syncs it to a centralized dashboard, where it can be used to generate monthly reports or other insights. School Connect reduces reporting time and improves decision-making, showcasing how WFP can enhance accountability and the results of school feeding investments. Unlike other solutions, it integrates seamlessly with WFP systems, reducing data entry time and offering a scalable, user-friendly platform for improving school meal programme efficiency worldwide.

Since 2020, data in School Connect has covered 9,800 schools in 20 countries.
School Connect is in the process of developing the new version of its application with the WFP Innovation Accelerator sprint programme and is preparing for a future rollout, with the platform intended to make the data collection process in schools more efficient and cost-effective.
The team aims to train new users in the platform and connect with key government and multilateral partners in new and existing operations in order to double its user base in two years.
