About SDG Acceleration
Through collaboration with a broad range of organizations and other UN agencies, our SDG Acceleration (SDGx) team identifies bold solution providers around the world and supports them with access to funding, knowledge, tools, and networks necessary to expand their impact.
Partnering for our goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are all interconnected. Therefore, to deliver on WFPs mandate to reach Zero Hunger, we address challenges across a range of SDGs. Since 2018, we have supported 190+ ventures to implement innovations in 58 countries covering 11 SDGs focusing particularly on good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, affordable and clean energy, peace justice and strong institutions, as well as clean water and sanitation.
Open Calls for Innovation!
We do not have an open call for applications now, but keep watching this space!

How we do it
End-to-End Acceleration Programmes
We create and manage complete accelerator programmes to identify and support high impact innovations on their path to scale. We do this by running global or local innovation challenges, and subsequently offering funding and access to coaching, mentoring, and relevant networks.
Custom Innovation Journeys
We design and deliver custom acceleration programmes through co-creation with other organizations to support impactful startups, or intrapreneurial teams, to help them reach their full potential. These programmes may be run independently or integrated into our end-to-end accelerators.
Innovation Services & Projects
We help organizations or multi-stakeholder initiatives tackle complex problems in a creative and efficient way. We do so by enabling collaborative journeys that harness new ways of working through open innovation, human-centered design and entrepreneurial frameworks.
Ecosystem & Knowledge Sharing
We bring together key actors across sectors to exchange valuable knowledge, experience, and connections that enhance the conditions for impact innovation to benefit the people that we serve.
Our Programmes
In collaboration with a broad range of organizations and other United Nations agencies, we have delivered over 20 accelerator programmes across a range of Sustainable Development Goals.
